ASIA PACIFIC EVALUATION ASSOCIATION
The Asia Pacific Evaluation Association (APEA) is a strictly non-profit, non-partisan organization that aims to improve the theory, practice and use of evaluation across the Asia-Pacific region. It advocates building of capacity among individual evaluators, institutions and organizations representing Asia Pacific countries - as it advances the principles of transparency, accountability, and learning toward a just and progressive society.
An exemplary national evaluation society for developing, promoting, and practicing innovative but practical evaluation standards, practices, and interests in the Asia Pacific Region and globally.
To promote and sustain the concept, practice, and usefulness of evaluation and support the achievement of optimal performance and results across all sectors in the Asia Pacific Region, in both the public sector and private sectors.
Promote and institutionalize evaluation as a strategic management tool within both the public and private sectors in the Asia Pacific Region;
Enhance the capacity of APEA members in evaluation and related matters;
Represent the interests of APEA members in the global evaluation agenda.
APEA advocates for creating a culture of transparency, integrity, and competence in both the public and private management sectors through evaluation. It focuses on building the evaluation capacity of individuals and particularly the national evaluation societies, associations, groups, or networks in the countries representing the Asia Pacific Region. It believes that by way of developing the theory, practice, use, and institutions of evaluation, it can influence to a large extent the regions’ policy and decision makers for better performance, leading to a more progressive society.
